Natalie Trundy

Natalie Trundy Campana, born Boston, Massachusetts on August 5th 1940, is best known for her roles in four of the five original Apes films. Her first appearance, as the mutant Albina in Beneath, was followed by the role of Dr Stevie Branton in Escape. She then became chimpanzee Lisa, lover and later wife of ape leader Caesar, in Conquest and Battle. She remains the only major female performer who appeared in four of the original Apes films, and the only one to appear as a human, a mutant and an ape.

Natalie married Arthur P. Jacobs, her second husband, in London in 1968, shortly after he had finished producing the first Apes film. Following his death in 1973 Natalie assumed control of his company APJAC.

Her sporadic appearances since the Apes saga include Mrs Loftus in Huckleberry Finn (1974) and an appearance in Quincy, M.E. in 1978. She has spent recent years volunteering at Mother Teresa's Hospice in Calcutta.
