Wright King (Dr Galen)

Born in 1923 in Oklamoma, Wright King is best known to Apes fans as Dr Galen, Zira's colleague in Planet Of The Apes (1968). He began his film career in 1949 and went on to appear in Finian's Rainbow, Invasion Of The Bee Girls and the 1951 film version of A Streetcar Named Desire. Among his many television appearances were roles in Have Gun, Will Travel, Rawhide, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, The Fugitive, The Streets Of San Francisco, FBI and Wanted: Dead Or Alive. He's the father of Meegan King, who played Gregor in the Planet Of The Apes TV episode The Horse Race. Wright King retired in 1987.
