This episode formed the second half of the fourth TV movie Life, Liberty And Pursuit On The Planet of the Apes (paired with The Surgeon), originally broadcast in 1981.
The tenth episode to be broadcast (15th November in the USA, 15th December in the UK), this was the twelfth episode filmed, chronologically, according to the Production Code.
In the scene where Virdon and Galen jump out of Urko's office you can see Galen wearing a nice shiny pair of Stacy Adams right before he falls through the other side of the window.
Yalu (Galen’s father) is played by Norman Burton, who played the Hunt Leader in Planet Of The Apes (1968) and an (human) army general in Escape From The Planet Of The Apes.
