Beneath The Planet Of The Apes: Gold Key Comics

From 1970: Gold Key's graphic adaptation was the first ever non-Japanese Apes comic book (two years after Jôji Enami's Manga adaptation of Planet Of The Apes Saru no Wakusei ("Planet Of Monkeys")). Here is the published version (taken from Hunter Goatley's site), followed by the original line artwork by Alberto Giolitti (these images were kindly supplied by Mario Cos).

I'm sure I'm not the only one with the opinion that these images are infinitely superior to Alfredo Alcala's work for the Marvel adaptation. The beauty of Giolitti's art is much more evident here, in the uncoloured drawings:
